Dryer Thermal Fuse And Thermostat Kit 279769
For Whirlpool made electric dryers. The kit replaces Whirlpool # 279760. Kit includes one thermal cut-off (352 degrees) and one hi-limit thermostat (250 degrees).
The high limit thermostat and thermal fuse kit keeps your dryer from overheating and possibly catching fire. These items cannot be reset and once they have been activated need to be replaced.
Once one has been activated (tripped or blown) your dryer will no longer produce heat until it is replaced. Both should be replaced at the same time.
